How to List Your Shopify Store with Verified Sales (and Sell It, If You Want)
November 7, 2026
A Shopify store can now list on BootstrapArena with verified sales read straight from Shopify. Here is how the connection works, what buyers and visitors see, and what we never show.
Most directories and marketplaces show whatever revenue a store owner types in. BootstrapArena shows numbers read from the billing provider, and since November 2026 that includes Shopify stores: connect Shopify Payments once, and your page shows net sales for the last 30 days and the last 12 months, with a monthly chart, synced automatically.

What you need
- A live Shopify store (development stores can't connect; their orders are test data).
- Two minutes in your Shopify admin to create a read-only app token.
Step by step
1. In your Shopify admin, open Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps. If this is the first time, click Allow custom app development. 2. Click Create an app, name it BootstrapArena. 3. Under Configuration → Admin API integration, tick read_orders. If you see read_all_orders, tick it too, so orders older than 60 days count toward your 12-month total. Save. 4. Click Install app, then Reveal token once and copy the Admin API access token. It starts with shpat_. 5. On BootstrapArena, go to submit your startup, paste your website, choose Shopify Payments, and paste the token with your yourstore.myshopify.com address. Click Verify & continue.
AI fills in the rest of the listing from your site: name, description, logo, screenshots. Check it, pick a launch day, done.
What your page shows
- Sales (30d): net sales over the last 30 days. This sits where SaaS listings show MRR, because a store has no subscriptions to measure.
- Sales (annualized) and Last 12 months.
- A monthly sales chart for the last year.
- A "Verified via Shopify Payments" badge.
Net means refunds are deducted. Test orders are ignored. Only paid orders count.
What we never show
Customer names, emails, addresses, individual orders, products, margins or ad spend. The token can only read orders, and you can disconnect it from your edit page at any time; that deletes the token and the imported sales.
Selling the store
At the end of the submit form, open Want to sell this startup? and enter an asking price. Your store appears in the marketplace with its verified sales, and buyers send offers to your email. There is no commission, and the first 100 marketplace listings are free. Buyers will still ask about margins and ad spend, since those are not on the page.
Why bother
Most stores advertise and sell in silence. A public page with verified sales gives you a dofollow link from a site people and AI assistants read, a place in the revenue rankings, and a trusted starting point if you ever decide to sell. It costs nothing.
